The Centenary Launch

Calabar celebrated its 99th year of existence by hosting a press event that effectively launched Centenary Celebrations. Principal Lincoln Thaxter, former Prime Minister, P. J. Patterson, along with Derrick Smith, Karl Henlin, Vin Lawrence, John Messam and the Master of Ceremony, Lincoln Robinson outlined in some detail the plans for the celebration and the proposed impact on the school.Musical tributes were offered by the school's choir and its award winning group of drummers. Annual Reunion Dinner

The Calabar Old Boys’ Reunion Dinner is scheduled to be held at The Knutsford Court on Friday 16th of September. Cocktails are at 6:30pm, dinner starts at 7:00pm. This year COBA honours, Arthur Hibbert, Everton McDonald and Julian Robinson. Arthur served the old boys’ association for well in excess of 50 years and remains the repository of Calabar Knowledge. Everton though in retirement chairs the finance sub-committee of the Centenary Committee. Julian has made significant contribution is the area of track and field. He continues his service to the school as the weights and throws coach at Calabar.

This year's guest speaker is John Junor who now serves the school as the chair of the events subcomittee of the Centenary Committee.
